First kiss

Lucy was standing at the window, watching the busy street. Everything was normal, nothing new. Moms, balloon vendor, cotton candy maker, hot dog Uncle all eagerly waiting for the kids to return.

Suddenly, it all seemed to turn dark as the storm clouds filled the sky.  The street was almost empty in no time. She was still standing there.

There was a knock at door. Wondering who it was, she opened the door. A tall, dark and well dressed man rushed in. He was all wet, and asked her if she had an alternate pair of clothes. Stunned Luçy, managed to  point him the wardrobe.

Lil while later, she handed him a steaming cup of coffee and asked him who he was. He introduced  himself as Tom and that he was new to the town. He told Luçy, that he was insearch of a house to settle in. As it was raining heavily, lucy asked him to stay back. He thanked her and walked into the room.

Next morning, Luçy was ready with the breakfast, at the table. Tom was ready and he came to the table to wish her goodbye. Luçy took the intiation, asked Tom, to stay back with her. Tom was more than happy and thanked Luçy.

Lucy’s loneliness vanished with Tom’s arrival. They both became best friends. That evening when Luçy was watching the street, from her window, Tom suddenly entered the room. He went close to her, before she said something, held her tight in his arms and kissed her. It was all magical. They both had their first kiss, their expression of the feelings they were hiding from each other.

Later, they got married and lived happily ever after. Every time Luçy stands at the window, a sweet smile would appear on her lips. This was the memory of her first kiss, that changed her life.

So many things keep me busy...but I just found a way to store them forever. There is so much of Telugu in here as I just love my mothertongue....
