Echoing happiness….

Happiness could really be …
While the words are humming bee…
A friendship made,
a memory that doesn’t fade,
A promise kept,
a fear that left,
A dream cherished,
a target accomplished,
A love forever,
a journey together,

Its just like…
Doubled hike,
A fireplace in chilling night,
A winning fight,
A shade in scorching sun,
A finished marathon run,
An umbrella in pouring rain,
An unexpected gain,
A song sung,
A bell that rung,
A lyric written,
A sweater knitten,
An artifact made,
An un-polished jade,
A poem penned,
A thought that doesn’t end…

Happiness is…
Just a kiss,
And an Opportunity that doesn’t miss,
A smile,
Wiping the pain for a while,
A share,
That you could always spare…

So many things keep me busy...but I just found a way to store them forever. There is so much of Telugu in here as I just love my mothertongue....

  1. Nice poem. I think this is more rhyming couplets than echo though. The echo is really supposed to be a single word of one or two syllables. Like a real echo. You could probably make this into echo verse with a bit of patience, eliminating all the words of every other line except for the echo. Problem then is, does it make as much sense as the original poem. I’m not sure what I think of it as a poetic form. I’ll leave you to decide if you want to tinker with it 🙂
